I LIFT UP MY EYES RADIO SINGLE HITS UNPRECEDENTED MILESTONE:  Katie's new single, "I Lift Up My Eyes" has been voted as the Friday Favorite on WDBA radio in PA.  Dan Kennard, General Manager of the station says "It is indeed an awesome privilege to partner with you in your musical outreach. I just wanted to let you know that "I Lift Up My Eyes" hit a fast milestone on WDBA today! We have a "Friday Favorite" voting each week through our website. This allows our listeners to vote for their favorite song of the week. Well, "I Lift Up My Eyes" was this week's winner! That is somehwat unprecedented for a song that has only been in rotation for a few weeks. Congratulations, and thank you for responding to God's call on using your musical gifts!" 

KATIE INKS PUBLISHING DEAL WITH EMI/CMG:  Katie recently signed her first major publishing agreement with EMI Christian Music Group.  EMI's Jeremy Ash received a call from his mom, who lives in another state.  She wanted to find out more about a song she heard on the radio (Katie's #22 hit "Just By Your Mercy")  After listening to Katie's music online, Jeremy decided to add Katie's song "I'll Find You" to the prestigious EMI catalog of music.

 
 

"I Lift Up My Eyes" Releasing in July:  Katie's new CD, "I Lift Up My Eyes" will release to retail outlets through a new deal with Nashville based Martingale Music.  Distribution will be handled through Bayside Entertainment.  "I Lift Up My Eyes" is Katie's newest single, and is also featured on the Hendrickson Worship CD "Just By Your Mercy", in stores now.

"BRINGIN' ME HOPE" CHOSEN AS TOP 10 CD for 2005!":  Katie's debut CD, "Bringin' Me Hope" was recently chosen by Christian Music Monthly as one of their Top Ten Picks for 2005.  Mark Weber had this to say: "I listen to Katie's CD over and over again.  I listen to hundreds of CDs each year, and this one makes my Top Ten list for 2005. Katie's got a great voice, funky beats, and songs that will touch your heart and soul. I wish there were more artists like Katie.

 "Just By Your Mercy" Reaches #22!:  Katie's single, "Just By Your Mercy" from the Psalms of David CD, reached #22 on the CRW Inspo chart!  The song entered the chart at #37, and climbed to the #22 spot for two consecutive weeks.  Congratulations Katie.

"SAVIOR'S LULLABY" Releases to radio for the Christmas:  Katie's new Christmas single from acclaimed songwriter Dawn Rodgers (Wonderful, Merciful, Savior) is all finished and is being played at radio stations across the nation during the holiday season.  (check the home page to find a station near you) The new song is a beautiful, gentle ballad sung to the newborn King shortly after his birth.

"I first heard the song last year on a children's Christmas CD called Caroling! AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO INTERVIEW/SPECIAL:  Katie visited the studios of American Family Radio www.afr.net  on October 26th to tape an interview/special to air on the network.  Katie's new single, "Just By Your Mercy", is currently in Heavy rotation on the 150 plus station network.  Check back here for airtimes.

KATIE FEATURED IN ONCOURSE MAGAZINE:  Check out the Fall 2005 issue of Oncourse Magazine.  Katie is featured in a full-page article (page 15) about her ministry and her story.  She's also on their website www.oncourse.ag.org   Oncourse is a magazine targeted at youth, and has a circulation of about 160,000!  Congratulations Katie.

"JUST BY YOUR MERCY" CHOSEN AS TITLE TRACK FOR NEW WORSHIP CD: Katie Giguere's original song, "Just By Your Mercy", has been chosen as the title song for a new compilation CD from Hendrickson Publishers.  The two-volume, 25 song CD will release to retail in February 2006.

SAVIOR'S LULLABY, NEW CHRISTMAS RELEASE:  Katie was in the studio recently (see above photo) working on her new Christmas single, a beautiful song written by Dawn Rodgers (Wonderful, Merciful, Savior).  The song is a sweet, melodic lullaby and is sure to become an instant Christmas classic. Listen for it at Christmastime. 

 

MD BENEFIT CONCERT ON DVD:  Katie's recent MDA benefit concert performance with Michael English, David Phelps and others will soon be available on DVD. All proceeds from the sale of the DVD will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. 

KATIE SHARES TOP THREE SALES SPOT WITH BARLOW GIRL AND MERCY ME:  The 2005 top ten CD sales list was recently released by Lemston Christian Store in Rockford, IL.  Katie's debut CD "Bringin' Me Hope" was the store's third highest selling CD, behind only two other artsits.  Major label act Barlow Girl is in first place, and the mega successful group Mercy Me takes second!  Katie's single, "I'll Find You" broke records at Rockford's WGSL radio, generating more calls to the station than any song in the past two years.  "God is using that song so wonderfully", commented Charmel Jacobs, WGSL's music programmer.  Katie recently visited the Lemstone Christian store for a mini-concert and book signing.

KATIE GIGUERE HELPS FIGHT MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY:  Katie performed with CCM veteran Michael English, former Gaither Vocal Band member David Phelps and others at a concert to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  In addition to her own songs, Katie sang during the finale of Michael's classic hit "I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy".  The concert was held at the Curb Event Center, Belmont University in Nashville on August 6th at 7:30 pm.  

KATIE VISITS FOX 17 NASHVILLE TO PROMOTE UPCOMING CONCERT/BOOK SIGNING:  Katie visited Charlie Chase and Kelly Sutton on the set of Fox 17 Nashville's morning show, "Tennessee Mornging" to promote a concert/book signing for "Being the Fat Girl", releasing next month.  The event will be held at Davis Kidd Bookstore in Nashville. She performed her hit song "I'll Find You" on the Father's Day themed show, then sat down for an interview with Charlie and Kelly.  The show airs daily from 7:00am to 8:00am on Fox 17.

 

LEMSTONE BOOKSTORE WELCOMES KATIE:  Katie will perform at a concert for Lemstone Christian Store in Parker, Colorado on Friday, July 8th, just prior to the 2005 International Christian Retail Show in Denver.  She'll also conduct a signing of her brand new book, "Being the Fat Girl", releasing this month.  Katie will be perrforming mini concerts and/or book signings at several Lemstone stores across the nation, including Parker, CO, Rockford, IL, Freehold, NJ, Reading, PA, and others to be announced.  "Being the Fat Girl" chronicles Katie's journey to overcome shyness and low self-esteem to become a critically acclaimed CCM recording artist.

SHE'S ENGAGED!!!!!  Please post your congratulations in Katie's guestbook.  On May 17th, Katie's boyfriend of two years, Scott Cloyd, asked her to marry him.  He gave her a ring that belonged to Katie's great-grandmother, Eve Demers.  Scott had a new diamond placed in the antique setting, and Katie was thrilled with it.   The wedding will be in October, 2006.  More to come soon!

KATIE OPENS FOR COUNTRY SINGER CLINT BLACK:  Katie performed at a concert for the troops at Fort Campbell, KY on May 22nd.  She was the opening act for multi-award winning country artist Clint Black at a Memorial Day concert that was open to all the soldiers and their families.  Katie opened the event with a stirring acapella rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and closed with her radio hit, "I'll Find You". Katie was presented with a special Division Commanders coin for excellence.  She is pictured below with Clint Black (L) and with Captain Joseph Gallegos, of Fort Campbell's Protocol Department.

  

"BEING THE FAT GIRL" (New Day Dist) a hit with media at GMA:  Katie unveiled her new autobiographical book to enthusiastic journalists from across the globe during Gospel Music week 2005 Katie met with TV, radio and print media outlets to discuss the book and the message she wants to get across.  "God has a plan for all of us, and despite our flaws, real or perceived, He can use us greatly if we just let Him", says Katie.  "Being the Fat Girl" is scheduled for a June 15th release.  Katie will travel to Colorado Springs in July to promote to book at the 2005 CBA Convention.  Being the Fat Girl is distributed by New Day Christian Distribution.

"PSALMS OF DAVID" project to include original song from Katie Giguere: Katie has written a song called "Psalm 5 (Just By Your Mercy)" that will be featured on a new project from Martingale Music.  The 3 CD project, called Sing Unto the Lord: Psalms of David for Everyday Living,  will feature 36 songs based on the Psalms, and will be available exclusively through Christian Books dot com. (www.christianbooks.com)  Margaret Becker, Kelly Willard, CC Jones and others will also appear on the project.

KATIE GIGUERE PERFORMS ON 36th Annual GMA Music Awards:  Katie joined Michael Tait of dc talk, (pictured below), members of Sonic Flood, and others in an all-star choir during the GMA Music awards on April 13th.  The small choir backed up multi award winners The Crabbs and Kiki Sheard on their jubilant rendition of Andre Crouch's "Can't Nobody Love Me Like Jesus"

CAMPUS LIFE MAGAZINE: Thanks to the wonderful folks at McCain and Company Public Relations, Katie is being featured in an upcoming issue of Campus Life.  The magazine should hit newsstands in June 2005.  Look for it!

KATIE ON TV:  Katie made her third appearance on CTN's syndicated show, "Bridges", hosted by the lovely Monica Schmelter.  Katie performed her new song "Just By Your Mercy", and talked about her upcoming book "Being the Fat Girl".  The episode airs June 6th.   www.ctnonline.com

OH CANADA:  Katie's Canadian fans can now purchase her CD at their local Christian store.  Through a distribution deal with CMC, "Brining' Me Hope" is now available in Canada! 

Katie's jubilant version of the Christmas classic, Silent Night was sent to radio stations across the country in December.  Radio programmers and fans alike embraced the song.  It was even featured on some main stream stations including WOBM in New Jersey, and Mix 92.9 in Nashville. 

Katie's first radio single, "Bringin' Me Hope" put her on the map in most major markets, including New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego and Pittsburgh to name a few.  We wish to thank Salem Communications, Family Life Radio, The Pilgrim Radio Network, and all the stations who helped make this single a success.  Both Radio & Records and The PD Advisor charts showed "Bringin' Me Hope" as a MOST ADDED song! 

Katie recently performed at BUMPUS Harley Davidson, Murfreesboro, TN.

Katie was a featured performer at the Retailers Choice Awards, held during CBA 2004 in Atlanta at the Omni Hotel, Grand Ballroom.  Music legend Smokey Robinson hugged Katie after her performance and commented "Wonderful!  Just wonderful!"
